From commenter Jade:
Clif, I know that this post has one comment, and your latest post on SadlyNo has 446 comments, but that doesn’t mean you can’t post photos of puppies here to keep us entertained, surely?
Point taken. Here’s a picture from last week. Except Maisie is eight (!!) months old now and not so much a puppy anymore — until she starts running like hell down the hall with the first piece of toilet paper on the roll in her mouth and the rest of the roll spooling off behind her.

Janet Larue, who’s apparently some kind of lawyer over at Concerned Women with Funny Eyebrows For America, had her head explode last week when she read that the California Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage. But we are all beneficiaries of her severe neurological event because it caused her to come up with the best headline on gay marriage. Ever.
California Supremes Order Homosexual ‘Marriage’ – Will Citizens Submit?
Oh God, please tell me that’s true. Please tell me that I can go to court to force Brad Pitt to marry me. Or, better yet, to force Janet to marry Rosie O’Donnell.

Poor beleaguered K-Lo, who is still en deuil over the departure of Bill Buckley from this vale of tears, informed the readers of America’s Shittiest Website™ this morning that her tender sensibilities couldn’t bear listening to the voice of Hillary Clinton:
Bennett & co. just played some of Hillary from last night. It’s just way too early for that voice. I suddenly feel for every man whose had a hard time being nagged in the morning.
That might not seem a funny thing to say until you hear for yourself the sweet dulcet tones of K-Lo herself:
I would feel sorry for the man that might have to hear that in the morning, but . . . well, you know.

Yea, yea, I know I haven’t been posting much over here. You can blame my duties over at Sadly, No!, a hectic schedule at work, and the new puppy. That’s the ticket. Blame the puppy! Just look at her. She deserves blame, more blame and all the blame, right?
Well, I thought I’d at least try to float that argument. And I’ll try to post more over here. In the meantime, you could read my latest post over at Sadly, No!

Ben Ferguson, the pudgy and puerile pundit, was inexplicably invited on CNN to talk about, of all things, cars:
Give me a good-looking car that looks normal and I’ll buy it. Give it to me at a fair price and I’ll buy it, and I’ll save the environment. But don’t make me feel like I’m a horrible person because I want a car with four doors and that a date will actually get into.
I’m not sure that there is a car that a date would get into with Ben, but he can hope, can’t he?

The reviews of Jonah the Whale’s Liberal Fascism: From Mussolini to A Chorus Line continue to roll in, the latest from Charles “Negroes Are Stupid” Murray:
Liberal Fascism is nothing less than a portrait of 20th-century political history as seen through a new prism. It will affect the way I think about that history—and about the trajectory of today’s politics—forever after.
Now all we need are favorable reviews from Duane “Dog” Chapman and Don Imus, and Jonah’s book will truly have arrived.

Category: PoliticsMaisie donned a red scarf before the guests came for dinner, but that still didn’t stop her from growling at the camera lens.

“That was some other dog that chewed up the bath mat, not me.”

“Are puppies allowed to get a bite of beef tenderloin? I sure hope so.”

“I can look scarier than a DSLR camera lense!”

Category: Jonah the Whale, Stupid RepublicansAn excerpt from Jonah the Whale’s opus minimus Liberal Fascism via my colleagues at Sadly, No!

A similar syllogism would be this:
1. All Nazis liked sex
2. All liberals like sex
3. Therefore, all liberals are Nazis!
I am sure that Jonah’s course studies at Goucher College probably didn’t include even an introductory logic course, so he is no doubt blissfully unaware that this is the syllogistic fallacy called the “fallacy of the undistributed middle.” That is, of course, choice, since Jonah does himself suffer from an “undistributed middle.”
