Because she just heard that she and her three dozen litter mates siblings will have to move from this eight-bedroom house in Virginia:

To this two-bedroom one in Pennsylvania:

Too bad that Daddy said that the little house was their real house in order to get elected and then didn’t get elected in the end.

Santorum has lost it:
Embattled U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum said America has avoided a second terrorist attack for five years because the “Eye of Mordor” has been drawn to Iraq instead.
“As the hobbits are going up Mount Doom, the Eye of Mordor is being drawn somewhere else,” Santorum said, describing the tool the evil Lord Sauron used in search of the magical ring that would consolidate his power over Middle-earth.
“It’s being drawn to Iraq and it’s not being drawn to the U.S.,” Santorum continued. “You know what? I want to keep it on Iraq. I don’t want the Eye to come back here to the United States.”

Rick Santorum’s boundless stupidity was certainly on display yesterday afternoon:
Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pennsylvania, took the floor after Reid’s comments and denounced them.
“The very people that planned the attacks [of 9-11] are the people who are in Iraq — al Qaeda in Iraq — causing that sectarian violence,” he said. “Should we ignore that, I ask the senator from Nevada?”
That justification for the war is so idiotic that not even Dick Cheney has tried to float it. Al Qaeda in Iraq refers to the now-deceased Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and his co-jihadists. There is no evidence that a single one of them had any connection to the planning of 9-11.

Category: Loathsome Republicans, Lying Republicans, SantorumRick Santorum trots out his kids in his new campaign commercial to lie for him. Says 13-year-old Johnny:
My dad’s opponents have criticized him for moving us to Washington so we can be with him more.
No, Johnny, your dad’s opponents criticized him for claiming he lived in Pennsylvania when he lived in Virginia.
Says 11-year-old Daniel:
And they criticized us for attending a Pennsylvania public school over the Internet.
No, Daniel, they criticized your Dad for trying to have Pennsylvania public school pay for your private internet school by lying about where you lived.
Says 15-year-old Mary:
And he votes in Washington, almost 40 weeks some year.
No, Mary, since Rick showed up in Washington the Senate has been in session an average of 137 days per year, which is way short of 40 weeks per year.
In fairness, the little Santora tykes are just saying what they are being told to say. And it even sounds like little Patrick (4) shouts out “That’s a lie!” when his brother Peter (6) talks about how much time Daddy spends traveling around Pennsylvania. But, even so, what are we to think of Tricky Ricky for scripting lies to put into the mouths of his kids?

Every time the Rick Sanctorumonius opens his mouth, you can pretty much count on something loathsome popping out. Consider this ridiculous bit from his new book It Takes an Uneducated Barefoot Pregnant Wife
What I feared the Court would do in Lawrence in striking down the Texas sodomy statute is finally and completely eliminate marriage as a privileged institution in our laws and simply expand the zone of privacy in sexual conduct to all consenting adults.
In other words, the only way to protect marriage is to throw gay people in jail.
(Thanks to Mike Tidmus for the redesigned cover of It Takes a Family.)

This time Rick “Man on Dog” Santorum has outdone himself. It turns out that Rick’s communications director, Robert Traynham, is gay and was outed by PageOneQ. After this disclosure, Rick rushed to Traynham’s defense and released this statement:
It is entirely unacceptable that my staffs’ personal lives are considered fair game by partisans looking for arguments to bolster my opponent’s campaign. Mr. Traynham continues to have my full support and confidence as well as my prayers as he navigates this rude and mean spirited invasion of his personal life.
But for gay men and women who aren’t on Santorum’s staff, it is completely acceptable for Santorum to invade their lives, argue that they are criminals and seek to deprive them of equal rights for his own partisan advantage. The hypocrisy here is so thick you can cut it with a knife.

An administrative hearing officer denied on Monday the complaint the Penn Hills school district’s complaint filed against Tricky Rick Santorum. The school district was trying to make Santorum pay back the cyberschool tuition fees that he received from the district by falsely claiming that he and the little Santora lived in Penn Hills.
Santorum immediately did the happy dance and claimed that this proved that the complaint was “baseless” and “politically motivated.” Of course, Santorum doesn’t mention that he won on a technicality. The hearing officer didn’t rule that he actually lived in Penn Hills or that he was entitled to the payments even though he and the little Santora lived in Virginia. No, the hearing officer ruled against the complaint on the grounds that it had to be filed within a week of the enrollment of the Santora litter in the cyberschool. So Tricky Rick thinks its fine to steal money from Penn Hills taxpayers because Penn Hills didn’t catch his lie quick enough.

Some choice tidbits from Tricky Rick’s minimum opus It Takes A Pregnant Barefooted Uneducated Wife were printed today in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Rick on shacking up:
Despite all the evidence, as a society today we will go to almost any length to avoid telling ourselves, and others, the truth: marriage is better than living together. Too few of us dare say living together without the benefit of marriage is wrong.
What Rick means here is not living together without marriage but doing “it” without marriage. And I don’t know what he means about too few people saying that when every wingnut who can shove his or her way into print or up to a microphone is yelling just that. And don’t forget the White House is saying the same thing by putting the entire weight of the federal government behind its crackpot abstinence programs. Too few indeed.
Rick on abortion:
Abortion puts the liberty and happiness rights of the mother before the life rights of her child…. This was tried once before in America, when the liberty and happiness rights of the slaveholder were put over the life and liberty rights of the slave. But unlike abortion today, in most states even the slaveholder did not have the unlimited right to kill his slave.
Rick is telling a whopper here because, as he well knows, Roe v. Wade doesn’t give women the unlimited right to abortion in all circumstances. The only thing unlimited here is Rick’s capacity to make stuff up.
Rick on the Penn Hills scandal:
We liked the idea [of home-schooling] so much that we have some of our children enrolled in some of these public cyberschools - until the increasingly uncivil world of partisan politics extended its venom into our home and into our children’s education.
In other words until Rick got caught lying about where his children lived to bilk the Penn Hills school district out of $100,000 in cyberschool fees. If it weren’t for those vicious partisan Democrats he could have continued to cheat a small town in Pennsylvania and steal from its taxpayers.
