The reviews of Jonah the Whale’s Liberal Fascism: From Mussolini to A Chorus Line continue to roll in, the latest from Charles “Negroes Are Stupid” Murray:
Liberal Fascism is nothing less than a portrait of 20th-century political history as seen through a new prism. It will affect the way I think about that history—and about the trajectory of today’s politics—forever after.
Now all we need are favorable reviews from Duane “Dog” Chapman and Don Imus, and Jonah’s book will truly have arrived.

Category: PoliticsMaisie donned a red scarf before the guests came for dinner, but that still didn’t stop her from growling at the camera lens.

“That was some other dog that chewed up the bath mat, not me.”

“Are puppies allowed to get a bite of beef tenderloin? I sure hope so.”

“I can look scarier than a DSLR camera lense!”

Category: Stupid Republicans, Jonah the WhaleAn excerpt from Jonah the Whale’s opus minimus Liberal Fascism via my colleagues at Sadly, No!

A similar syllogism would be this:
1. All Nazis liked sex
2. All liberals like sex
3. Therefore, all liberals are Nazis!
I am sure that Jonah’s course studies at Goucher College probably didn’t include even an introductory logic course, so he is no doubt blissfully unaware that this is the syllogistic fallacy called the “fallacy of the undistributed middle.” That is, of course, choice, since Jonah does himself suffer from an “undistributed middle.”

Since Ed Rollins has been named the national campaign chairman for the veracity-challenged Mike Huckabee, it’s only appropriate that Rollins would immediately run off to the Lou Dobbs show and tell a whopper:
DOBBS: How comfortable are you with that and is it appropriate for god to be in religion and faith to be this prominent in a secular campaign for president?
ROLLINS: You go back to the signing of the constitution I think 26 of the people that signed it were ministers.

(Sorry for the delay in posting but an anti-spam plug-in called Bad Behavior behaved badly and blocked me out of my own site and I just was able to get back in.)

Maisie loves her squeaky frog toy and carries it with her all over the house. And chews on it. Do you think they make a George Bush squeaky toy? Or a Dick Cheney one?

Andy McCarthy, who used to be a lawyer but now collects wingnut welfare, is huffing and puffing over at America’s Shittiest Website™ about a mistake made in a New York Times story:
Basically, the Times is scrambling after getting caught playing its juvenile racial profiling games.
Although Andy makes it sound like the Times was racially profiling juveniles, what has him upset — and what he calls “juvenile” — is that the Times reporting on a story about whether New York street cops treated whites differently from blacks and Hispanics. That might sound juvenile to a white male wingnut, but probably not so much to anyone else.
The Grey Lady wanted to use a Rand study to argue (in a “news” story) that blacks and Hispanics are more likely than whites to be hassled by police. The problem is, they botched the story — in fact, whites get more summonses, not less
If anyone is playing games here, juvenile or otherwise, it’s Andy. What Andy doesn’t tell you is that the study found that although white people got more summonses as a result of street stops, black and Hispanic people were more likely to get searched, frisked, have force used against them and arrested. So, only in some alternate wingnut universe, are white people who get summonses are being hassled more than blacks and Hispanics who are getting frisked, arrested and man-handled.
